Technical Support Engineer (3rd Line & VOIP)

Position:  Technical Support Engineer – 3rd Line + VOIP exp

Suitable for:  3rd Line Support Engineer / Field Services Engineer / VOIP Engineer / Technical Services Engineer

Salary: C£35k + Benefits

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Working Hours: M-F 7am – 3pm or 11am – 7pm

Our client is an ambitious and constantly expanding managed service provider with over 450 clients nationally who employ 30+ people in modern facilities close to Leeds city centre with excellent transport links and free parking.

Due to the continued growth of the business the company are looking for a Technical Support Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer / Field Services Engineer / VOIP Engineer / Technical Services Engineer to join their team. The role would be suitable for anyone with working knowledge of PBX / VOIP / SIP / VPN.  The role will involve some travel to client site, so a driving license is essential.

Experience:

As Technical Support Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer / Field Services Engineer / VOIP Engineer / Technical Services Engineer the following experience is essential:

  • Min 2 years’ experience working as 3rd Line Support Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, VOIP Engineer or similar
  • Must have working knowledge of PBX/VOIP/SIP/VPN
  • Experience with DHCP/DNS/TS
  • Windows Server (all versions)
  • Cisco, LAN/WAN routers/switches
  • Providing technical support for telephony systems
  • Experience in trouble shooting and configuring network related technology
  • Experience of working in a client facing IT support environment
  • Impeccable customer service
  • Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to give technical instructions to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • A full valid UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

As Technical Support Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer / Field Services Engineer / VOIP Engineer / Technical Services Engineer the following experience is desirable:

  • 3CX experience
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field
  • ITIL Foundation v3
  • Comptia N+/A+ Certification
  • Cisco CCNA Certification

Responsibilities:

As Technical Support Engineer / 3rd Line Support Engineer / Field Services Engineer / VOIP Engineer /  Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical support with high levels of client satisfaction
  • Ensure customer service is timely and accurate
  • Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded
  • Contribute to improving customer support by actively responding to queries and handling escalations
  • Ensure service is meeting and exceeding expectations regarding performance, meeting defined metrics/benchmarks, and that standards and processes are followed to provide effective customer service and meet requirements
  • Triage, investigate and resolve requests, incidents and problems
