Position:  Business Analyst – digital / e-commerce

Suitable for:  Business Analyst or Junior Business Analyst

Location:  York, North Yorkshire

Salary:  £24,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience) + benefits

Rapidly expanding award winning digital agency currently seeking a Business Analyst or Junior Business Analyst to become part of a growing and ambitious team based in York. Our client works with organisations all over the world from small tech startups to international conglomerates and government organisations to produce cutting edge digital products and systems.

The Role:

 As the Business Analyst you will have an important role in defining systems and products for our customers and then working to ensure the successful delivery of the defined solutions alongside the project managers. You will:

  • Work with the sales team and clients to understand their challenges and their opportunities
  • Produce wireframed layouts of technical products and systems, turning them into clickable prototypes and presenting them back to the business
  • Produce user stories, functional specifications for the project and documentation to brief designers, developers and project mangers
  • Testing the system during development
  • Produce user manual and where required run training sessions with clients to ensure they are able to use the developer systems

Essential:

  • Min 12 month experience as Business Analyst
  • Experience of producing wireframes of digital products and systems
  • Experience of producing user stories
  • Clear understanding of user experience on mobile and web based platforms
  • Creative and logical mind with the ability to quickly understand business problems and the visions to find a solution
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
  • Confidence when speaking and dealing with clients and internal team members
  • Superb time management and organisation skills 

Nice to have:

  • Experience of manual or automated testing
  • Knowledge of Google Docs, Jira, Slack, Invision, Balsamiq Mockups (or other wireframing tool), Browserstack, Selenium or other testing tools
