Position:   IT Project Manager – NHS / digital health exp

Suitable for:  Digital Project Manager with NHS / digital health experience

Location:  Leeds + travel to client sites

Salary:  C£35k + bonus + bens (see below)

Start date:  ASAP

The IT Project Manager / Digital Project Manager will be responsible for leading small teams to deliver software solutions for a variety of external customers. Using agile and lean principles, you will lead the team in establishing the foundations of the project through to the deployment of the solution into the live environment and the management of post go live processes e.g. support, enhancements and usability improvements.

Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager / Digital Project Manager include:

  • Providing regular communication to senior management and stakeholders
  • Providing advice to customers across the delivery lifecycle
  • Under the guidance of experienced agile practitioners you will manage projects using the agile project delivery process which will involve:
  • Sprint planning to identify goals, plan work and lead the multidisciplinary team through to delivery
  • Management of the iterative design and development process within each sprint using prioritisation techniques (e.g. MoSCoW) to identify the minimum viable product
  • Managing risks and issues as they arise, escalating to senior business or technical roles as required
  • Motivating the teams to meet their objectives
  • Managing business involvement within projects
  • Ensuring that the team adopts a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Essential

To be successful, the IT Project Manager / Digital Project Manager will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Min 2 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager or Digital Project Manager
  • NHS / digital health / healthcare experience
  • Good team leadership
  • Excellent communication skills that inspire confidence in customers including stakeholder engagement and management
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to deliver innovative, technically challenging solutions for customers
  • Enthusiastic about technology
  • Ability to manage and converse with the technical team so you understand the technical approach, challenges and risks

Desirables

  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of Agile working methods
  • PRINCE 2
