Position:  Payroll Implementation Consultant

Suitable for:  Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant, Payroll Manager, Payroll Officer, Payroll Advisor, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Supervisor

Location:  Leeds

Salary:  £25,000 – £28,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Reporting to Head of Payroll Managed Services, the Payroll Implementation Consultant will be responsible for the implementation and set up of new client outsourced payroll contracts.  The role will be mainly office based however working at client sites will be required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant, Payroll Manager, Payroll Supervisor or Payroll Supervisor to move away from a 100% pure payroll processing role and get involved in a client facing role whilst still using their payroll knowledge.

Experience:

  • Approx 3+ years’ experience in a Payroll Implementation Consultant, Payroll Administrator, Payroll Assistant, Payroll Officer , Payroll Advisor, Payroll Supervisor, Payroll Manager or similar position
  • Must have confident personality with excellent communication skills
  • Daily use of payroll software
  • Client facing skills essential
  • Any experience of payroll implementation / project management of set up of payroll from software perspective would be advantageous

Responsibilities of Payroll Implementation Consultant:

  • To manage the payroll service implementation from beginning to end
  • Work closely with Project Managers ensuring the project remains on target and within budget.
  • To attend client site to assess client payroll and training requirements
  • To deliver/arrange training, specifically related to the Payroll Managed Service, for clients as required
  • To communicate project expectations to customers and the PMS team
  • To estimate the resources and liaise with the project and technical teams
  • To continually communicate project progress with clients and payroll service team
  • To work with PMS Administrator to implement client payrolls
  • To oversee the monthly payroll processing for new clients including parallel runs and be the link between PMS and the client during implementation
  • Project Management – also working with the overall PM in charge of the HR and other modules
  • Create and sign off the payroll procedure manual for each of your clients
  • Build a good working relationship with your clients in order to gather and analyse their payroll requirements
  • On occasion in exceptional circumstances you may also be required to help process customer payrolls
