Position:  Supply Chain Improvement Manager

Suitable for:  Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager / Procurement Specialist / Supply Chain Specialist

Location:  Northallerton, North Yorkshire

Salary:  £30k – £40k

Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Improvement Manager/ Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager / Supply Chain Specialist to ensure the highest levels of delivery, supplier performance and value to the business.

Experience:

As Supply Chain Improvement Manager/ Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager / Procurement Specialist / Supply Chain Specialist the following experience is required.

  • Regular use of IT systems
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Working to lead times
  • Management of goods inwards systems
  • Managing real time processes
  • Stock control
  • Quality control
  • Effective monitoring of supplier performance, review and audit against company operational requirements
  • Working to industry standards
  • Development of strategic partnerships with key providers
  • Management of procurement processes
  • Previous experience of implementing new procurement initiatives
  • Previous industry experience within engineering, manufacturing, electronics or similar

The Role:

As Supply Chain Improvement Manager/ Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager / Procurement Specialist / Supply Chain Specialist, you would be required to:

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with key providers
  • Develop and maintain relevant contractual documents and procedures electronically
  • Communicate performance indicators and development of improvement plans to procurement team
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the wider team effort by accomplishing related results and providing appropriate support as needed
  • Implement cost saving solutions
  • Report writing
