Technical Support Analyst – web hosting, server/network support

Position:  Technical Support Analyst – web hosting, server/network support

Suitable for:  Technical Account Manager  or Technical Account Executive – with approx. 2 years’ experience of web hosting infrastructure.

Location:  Wetherby, West Yorkshire

Salary:  to £24k + bonus + bens

The Technical Support Analyst will be part of the technical client services team responsible for delivering pro-active technical account and infrastructure support to the client services team and providing technical support to the developers and service desk.

We are looking for a Technical Support Analyst who is as passionate, organised and ambitious with energy and enthusiasm as well as determination to succeed.  This role has huge opportunity with the potential for career development in a rapidly growing business with ambitious plans for the future.


  • Approx 2 years’ commercial experience in a Technical Support Analyst or IT Support type role
  • Technical understanding of and interest in web hosting, inc server support and management
  • Management of hosting infrastructure inc ‘website down’, resource monitoring, alert response
  • Deployment of live sites and pre-planning of site ‘go-lives’
  • DNS management
  • Database management of development and test SQL databases
  • SSL certificate management
  • Good balance of customer service and commercial awareness
  • UK driving licence

Personal attributes:

  • Ability to work in fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
  • High levels of initiative, strong organisational skills and a natural ability to get things done

Desirable (not essential):

  • Experience of web development / CMS / Content Management Systems
  • Previous experience of working with a digital agency or external clients

The role:

  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal team as well as key clients, having regular project review meetings, resolving issues, keeping up-to-speed with requirements
  • Delivery of projects alongside client services and operations
  • Day to day management of hosting infrastructure
  • Liaising with clients and client services both for deployments and client-owned network/server maintenance
