Position:  IT Operations Director

Suitable for:  Head of IT Operations OR senior level IT role with minimum 15 years commercial experience in progressive IT roles.  Someone looking for their next step towards a Board level position

Location:  Hybrid / Rugeley (Staffordshire) office approx. 3 days per week

Salary:  £80k – £100k

First and foremost, our client is looking for an energetic, innovative and dynamic IT Operations Director with strong analytical skills and who is a natural leader.

Reporting to the MD, the IT Operations Director will be responsible for resource management and overseeing the project management function. 

Essential:

• Current or recent experience in an IT Operations Director role or similar IT operational role (i.e. Head of IT Operations, IT Director, Programme Manager, Head of PMO etc etc)
• Must demonstrate previous track record of project delivery either in a Project Manager or Programme Manager type role
• Experience of working in an agile software development environment  
• Experience of working in a customer facing role
• Previous experience of managing budgets
• Ability to work and engage at C-suite level
• Must possess strong leadership ability and working with technical teams

Desirable:

An understanding of the general insurance market is highly desirable

The Role:

The IT Operations Director will be responsible for:

• Resource management and project management functions
• Supporting the planning and delivery of all digital services
• Strategically analysing and improving billable utilisation, capacity planning and forecasting, and project profitability
• Continually reviewing and improving internal processes and tools, driving efficiency and business growth
