Position: IT Project Manager (mid level)
Suitable for: Hands-on client facing Project Manager with min 5 years’ experience – ideally with experience of managing software implementation / client onboarding type projects
Location: Remote
Duration: Initial 3 months
Rate: to £450 per day outside

We are currently recruiting for a mid-level hands-on IT Project Manager for our client who is software provider. In the main, you will be responsible for partaking in daily stand-ups, managing and planning future workload, updating project documentation, leading client calls etc. This is a real ‘doer’ role so it would suit someone who can just ‘get things done’.
Essential skills/attributes:
- Min 5 years’ experience in a mid-level IT Project Manager role
- Experience of working in an IT project / software delivery environment
- Awareness / understanding or experience of working in an Agile environment and attending daily stand-ups
- Any experience of client onboarding type projects highly desirable
- Familiarity in project management methodologies / tools (ie MS Project, Trello, Prince etc)
- A successful and proven track record in working to tight deadlines in a busy challenging environment.
- Ability to work well within a team
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing
- Good commercial awareness
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and planning skills
- Self-starter with great determination and motivation to succeed
- Good time management and planning skills
- Good teamwork, person-management and motivational skills
IT Project Manager Roles & Responsibilities:
The main remit of the IT Project Manager is to manage the delivery of a client software replacement (moving from one supplier to another) to facilitate a successful delivery of the client project including (but not limited to) the following:
- Maintaining effective project governance and processes
- Implement governance standards across the portfolio, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of project deliverables
- Preparing, produce and present regular progress reports
- Supporting risk and issue management, highlight reporting and project planning
- Responsible for keeping all project documentation up-to-date
- Building up a repository of standardised project templates/tools both technical and management to support the Project Manager
- Liaising with project team members and providing suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues when needed
- Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines
