25 years in healthcare enterprise architecture across digital, data & technology – both NHS and private health

A strong delivery focus and experience in building and leading technology teams and in leading healthcare digital & data strategy and architecture.  Passionate about making information follow the patient wherever they are cared for, putting the right tools in the hands of health & care staff and using data to improve lives and services.  Specialising in enterprise and national scale data, integration and interoperability in health & care.

Architecture & Strategy:

  • Enterprise, business, solution & technology architecture
  • Strategy & roadmap development
  • Leading architecture teams
  • Architecture frameworks e.g. TOGAF, Zachman

Data & Integration:

  • Data strategy & leading data & integration teams
  • Data & data platform architecture
  • Data integration including ETL/ELT
  • Building APIs, integration platforms & event/messaging hubs

AI & Data Science:

DBMS:

  • Extensive experience of SQL and NoSQL platforms e.g. SQL Server, Postgress, MySQL, Solr, Intersystems IRIS/Caché

Software Development:

  • Full SDLC experience & leading software development teams
  • Polyglot developer e.g. Python, Java, .NET , Caché/MUMPS

Healthcare Interoperability:

  • Expert in healthcare interoperability and data standards including FHIR, HL7v2, DICOM, OMOP, SNOMED CT, DM+D, ICD10 etc

Leading a team of solution and enterprise architects (20 WTE) to define a national digital architecture, including defining strategies, business cases, architecture roadmaps and solution designs and establishing architecture governance and design assurance through the Technical Design Authority
