Five years later, I left the corporate world and moved to the opposite end of the scale – a career with a smaller ‘boutique’ recruitment agency, allowing me more freedom to work to my strengths. Here I became involved in permanent recruitment and more diverse sectors, ultimately broadening my commercial and recruitment skills.
Having established Solo Search in 2004, one of my passions is to do my part in raising recruitment industry standards in the UK. I fully uphold the code of professional practice and high standards required in today’s recruitment environment. I believe in ‘giving something’ back even if you can’t directly help a candidate or client and not giving up when the going gets tough. Recruitment can be a tough old game at times but I am proud to still be riding that wave.
In my free time I am a keen tennis player and enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle which usually means my daily office attire is a hoodie brighter than this website! I do love a good retail therapy fix and am usually the last one to leave a dance floor. I am a bit of a workaholic, not afraid of hard graft and am a ‘completer finisher’ which does include anything on my plate. Pet hates are candidates not showing up for an interview (and not letting anyone know) and client words - “I’ve already got that CV”.
We believe in being transparent in all of our business transactions with clients and candidates alike.
Our consultancy services have a personal focus and include a detailed and objective assessment of your individual needs. That means we care about you and treat you as a person, not a number.
We invest time into getting to know our candidates and clients, we don’t just want to get a candidate a role we want to create a long lasting working relationship.
Professionalism is something you see, hear and experience and is comprised of a set of behaviours. A professional always aims to give the best they can.
